Adult Ephemeroptera Flight Period Survey

Do you fly-fish?  Do you run a moth trap?  If you do you could help with an important study.

It is thought that the flight periods of adult upwing flies are changing, perhaps as a result of climate change. To provide evidence of these changes the Ephemeroptera Recording Scheme would like to receive specimens of adult upwings from across the British Isles.

If you are an angler, or run a moth trap then we would like you to send us specimens of upwing flies you may find.  If you would like to be part of this important survey please contact us and we will send you a couple of sample tubes and some simple instructions.
